K. It seemed to work pretty well against Bama in the CFP. They play in the SEC huh?

Herman was the OC and QB coach. He learned under Urban, but yeah obviously Urban was the head guy. Do you have any actual analysis as to why you don't think his offense would work in the SEC? For the record, he doesn't really have one type of offensive philosophy - He's know for his ability to tailor his offense to the skills and strengths of his players and weaknesses of his opponent. So which iteration of "his offense" do you think wouldn't work?

I worry that Herman is the hot coach because of his talented QB. Without the QB, we may not notice him. Cam won it all for Auburn, where have they been since.

What about his record breaking offenses at Iowa State and Rice? The three different QBs he helped coach and gameplan with in 1 season at OSU?

Kevin Sumlin sure hasn't done well in his transition from Houston to Texas A & M. Who's to say Herman would be different?

He's the flavor of the week.
Well, this flavor tasted awfullly good to our friends in Tuscaloosa, who sent their OC to study Herman's offense two years ago. They seem to have won 23 games in a row with their modernized offense.

This guy gives his opinion and y'all attack him like you're 100% certain Herman will bring a NC to LSU. Calm down bro.

What about when he beat Bama in the CFP with Ohio States 3rd string qb?

Saban is not available hoss. You choose the best available option, which is Herman.

Coach O is somewhere below Herman/Fisher, Fedora, Fuente, Fleck, Frost (not really, was just intrigued by the "F" names)

Attack? Nut up. I'm just posting substantive facts. Sorry if that's too much to handle.

Problem is you have no idea who will bring success to LSU. It's just a guess at this point. So tell me who we have that can run the zone read like Braxton Miller and Greg Ward Jr.?

Well no shite. I'll take my chances with Herman over a DL coach whose only stint as a full time head coach was a colossal failure.

Who says we have to run a zone read? Again, Herman's MO is running offenses that best suit his personnel.

Because coaching the same team in succession makes you a clone of the guy who left ahead of you.

Why don't more NBA teams draft North Carolina Tar Heels? Michael Jordan went there and he was the best ever. Surely every UNC player after him is surely the next GOAT.

You are one stupid mofo. What part of his offense won't work in the SEC? The SEC is not a huge defensive league anymore. It is hugely varied in offensive style and he is using what he can at Houston to win games. Last year he ran for 3300 yards and 46 TDs averaging 47.8 carries per game. He had lost all his rushing talent outside of Greg Ward and a couple of OL, to graduation and injury, so he had to pass more this year. Even though he lost his only NFL likely WR on the roster last year he has still put up 3600 yards and 24 TDs.

Urban Meyer never had a 1000 yard rusher anywhere before Herman introduced the "power" to Urban's spread. Urban has now had at least one 1000 yard rusher every year since then and several times his #2 had 900+, and he even had two 1000 yard rushers in one year.

Guice would blow the F-up! behind our OL and with a dual threat like Lindsey Scott under Herman. At worst, Aranda would keep the defense decent even though we lose a ton of talent and experience next year.
