this is just the start of the bama excuses for the loss. we haven't even gotten to the bama player being ineligible because of actions in nola.

hasn't happened yet. be careful being so brazen. could make a humbling loss hurt even worse. then we'll get to hear LSU fans saying "it isn't fair...we already beat you once".

Dude - that was a 3 point OT game. Could have gone either way. the game in Nola will be close and could go either way. i hope you continue to refuse to acknowledge that possibility. it will make victory - should the Tide get it - even sweeter.

why do people act like bama is the first team to lose a close, hard fought OT game? like it doesnt really count or something cause it wasnt settled in regulation

So does this mean Bama's offense will be in turmoil for the NC game?

Because they are Alabama. They have like 77 National Championships

You are right LSU should have had 2 TD's instead of field goals.

No more turmoil than LSU's defense during the 2007 national title game.

LSU was playing an overmatched Big10 team, Bama is playing one of the better SEC defenses in the BCS era. Big difference bro

Let me be as clear as I can about this - LSU won the game. It is to their credit that they were the victorious team on November 5th. I take absolutely nothing away from their victory. They earned it.

My problem is with LSU fans who assume because that b/c they won that very, very close game that is somehow means that victory on Jan 9th is a certainty. Far from it. And, had Bama won on Nov 5th it wouldn't have meant victory was a certainty for them in the rematch either. I just don't like when people make it sound like LSU dominated that game. Far from it. Neither did Bama. Both played incredible on D, fair on O. One played great in ST. One didn't. That was the difference in the game. And it is to LSU's credit. That said, these teams are so close in talent, coaching, etc that it is scary. No one knows what will happen on Jan 9th, but anyone expecting a blow out based on what "almost" or "shoulda" happened on Nov 5th is fooling themselves.

I agree 100% with what you said except most LSU fans don't expect LSU to lose the Ship in the Superdome. It's a special place to our team, our state & our team. Throw Nov 5th out the conversation.... LSU will not get beat in the Dome in January... it's our house and our party.

Lets just say after beating yall on the road Im pretty confident when we are playing in louisiana in the dome with all of our assistants staying in BR looking at game film. At the same time yalls have been in texas california mississippi and memphis on the interview trail. McElwain will be spending his december recruiting in Colorado and setting up a staff while Chavis Krags and Stud are putting a game plan together. This is the brightside about hiring lifelong assistants as your coordinators. I also wont be surprised if Kirby takes a DC job in the next couple weeks to get out from saban's shadow.
