Fair. But I know he’s been putting a lot of guys in the NFL as well.

I just think he’ll be able to get really good players on campus.

Jimbo ran FSU into a ditch and TAMU hired him anyway. Y’all made excuses for Jimbo because his ex wife went to the BBC and his son is sickly. On the other hand, Kentucky beat a top 10-11 team with Stoops leaving. He’s an upgrade over Jimbo.

A&M with NIL knows they’ll sign dudes. They want a competent head coach to be able to run everything.

Yep. There's zero point making a “splashy” hire when your nil will have top 10 classes coming in annually.

In all reality, Stoops is stable and won't get anyone in trouble

It's just that he hasn't done much more than that, which may be attributed to resource limitations

He did get Will Levis drafted

There is a rumor floating he’s already lined Kliff as the OC. Same person this morning said Stoops would leak tonight as the head coach. That would certainly get some of the fanbase onboard. My biggest concern with Stoops is his offenses have often resembled Iowa level and we’ve been down that road very recently

You'll likely win some big games and then lose some you shouldn't. The OC hire will mean a lot.

His 10 win seasons at Kentucky were during some really down SEC East years.

You could have done a lot worse, but what doesn't make sense is to pay the buyout you did and then end up with this hire. Contract will be interesting.

Probably will be searching for a new AD in ~3 years.

I see people saying this is a good hire. Might be but I would have doubts of a guy who has a conference record of 35-55 just saying. I know it’s Kentucky but that’s abysmal.

Saban or Urbs wouldn’t have a winning conference record at Kentucky.

I'm interested to see what he can do with their resources. Everyone wants to point out his record without mentioning the fact that Kentucky was on par with Vandy most years before he got there and he has made them a consistently good team.

It's A&M so they will find a way to cock it all up though.

If, what 247 is saying it's true, we'll be looking for a new AD next week. Bjork/Sharp are said to have misled many with other names, then dropped this one tonight.

I’m old enough to remember what Stoops did with FSU and Miami talent. TAMU will be nasty.

You see his OL recruiting? His defense?

See him win a rivalry game today against a top 10 opponent on the road?

Mizzou beat Kentucky. Mizzou ranked higher than Louisville. Mizzou was 9-2 and Louisville 10-1. Wonder why Mizzou with a worse record got ranked higher than Louisville.
