Nice, solid hire. Will recruit well and should be able to get Brad Kayaa going.

ETA: I'm so surprised Miami didn't derp this up and hire Butch or Cristobal.

It's probably easier to turn Miami around (in his timeframe) than it would be to build UVA into something worthwhile.

He'll have players though, presumably.

Fan support, no. But I thought Miami just finished a big facility upgrade?

Miami will go wheels off with Richt at the helm. If you thought Georgia was thuggish under him, just watch.

As long as he can keep the murderers pipelined to Florida, he'll do fine.

Wow! I didn't see this coming. He certainly doesn't fit the Miami Thug mode. Those guys are the worst.

A guy like Richt can rally enough booster support to upgrade facilities.

Damn. He's going to build a solid program there. That school has continued recruiting itself throughout the suck years.

I hope he gets to beat FSU's arse for many years to come.

If that happens, then potentially our last chance at a good hire is out the window and we're fricked. Woo.

The South Carolina decline is going to be real.

I thought Richt was known for running a pretty clean program and that's why he was the top candidate for the job?

He's going to have to relax his weed policy or he won't have a team.

The SEC east is definitely worse than the ACC this year.
