That team is truly run by monumental idiots.

CBS Sports is the authority on Gus to Cleveland, seeing as how they're the only ones to have reported it.

according to the web he made 2

But that doesnt matter.
Malzahn will be making what top tier NFL coaches make. Do you really think they offer much more than that to him?

The Browns job, for a college guy, seems like something you do when you're riding high but not sure future success is in store at your college program.
This is the perfect move for college coaches at that stage, because instead of potentially moving down in the college ranks in 1-3 years if things go south, you get a shot at the pros, and even if you fail, you get to come back and land a top tier college job.
Now that is a threading needle move that requires a lot of foresight, but nonetheless I'm not sure that is the move for Gus right now, considering his potential upward trajectory at AU. If Gus wins a title and develops a little run at AU, then I might start thinking that way. But at that point you may be poised for a better gig than Cleveland, which would give you a better shot at not only extending your money making years, but also at achieving legit NFL success.

If we came here he would be getting a raise

The results would indicate otherwise.

Theyve only had 1 year. What would you like them to do?

BB make 7.5 a year. Why would they need to pay him that much. Gus wont be making 5 at AU next year.

“The new contract includes a raise and extension and is our statement that Auburn is committed to Coach Malzahn for the long haul. While this season has been remarkable, I’m equally excited about the future of our program under his leadership. The future of Auburn football is very bright.”
According to the release put out by the university, Malzahn will receive an annual salary fo $3.85 million in 2014, with subsequent $250,000 raises each year.

I would be surprised if he went to jail, but it doesnt matter. If he does his brother or father will take over.
