A national search firm is standard in a coaching search. The AD does not conduct the background checks and other run of the mill type due diligence on every candidate. That's why a firm is hired.

As feared - already turning into a self induced cluster orgy. They should have settled on a hire by now. The Aleva/King Team now stand a good chance of having to settle for a second tier or lower choice due to dragging their feet.

and also, like hiring a consultant, it gives the hiring party something to hide behind if necessary. it is clear to me that no matter who we hire there are going to be some upset fans. the coaching search firm solidifies the case of the hired party and helps to calm down the upset fans.

Not sure if that was directed at me, but to be honest i have no clue. I think DALSU got banned because he started saying admins were begging him for info, when apparently that was not true. I don't know for sure, but that's what i gathered based on his last convo with Fred.

I wouldn't freak out just yet. This could be a smoke screen to make it appear they checked all the boxes or the OP could be full of shite. Is there any link confirming OPs statements?
