LSU... What about Dan Mullen?

Got MSST ranked #1 in the nation at one time. Developed Dak. Now is working on Fitzgerald who will probably be really good next season. Knows how to attack with passing game plays.
He's already shown he can build a competent defense in the past. Pair him with Aranda's recruiting and that could be a great combo.
Why would he be a bad choice?

Because he hasn't shown he can win at Miss State.

Dak meant more to Mullen than Mullen meant to Dak...by a lot.
And, this is literally the worst season Mullen has put together at MS St. He has been unable to develop anything resembling a program.
LSU can do much, much better.

I wouldn't hate it. I would prefer him over Fedora or someone like B. Kelly.
Kelly having a losing season at ND is so much worse than Mullen having one at State. He needs recruiters and a budget to help him.

I think Dan Mullen would be great. He is a very smart x's and o's coach from what I can tell, is offensive minded and has plenty of SEC experience. Why not consider him? There is no arguing that LSU>MSU.
