Either this is just a false rumor or Alleva has ZERO balls.

Herman is exactly what this program needs and he's there for the taking.

Of course other schools will bid for him, Joe. Don't just fold up like a cheap tent because you're scared Texas may compete for his services. LSU has the resources to get this guy.

Agree. Herman is my #1.

I'd be no means be upset with Jimbo but Herman would be such a breath of fresh air for the program. Young, already had success, offensive mind. He runs the type of scheme that's given Alabama fits.

He could build a dynasty at LSU

I put this all on Alleva. Unlike other schools, he had most of the fricking season to work back channels.

It isn't that there could be a bidding war, it's that Texas is reportedly Herman's dream job.

This thread is fricking stupid.

Show me where Herman is quoted as saying this.

You can even post the link in this "stupid thread", chief.

How can Texas be his dream Job? Did Herman actually say this as a direct quote? If so I want a link.

I said reportedly, jackass. It's been talked about ever since he was a GA there.

You can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink...

If Jimbo comes it is purely because he wants to and he is likely to stay if successful and happy.

If Herman does not want to come, he aint coming. If you go get Herman and he is successful you will have a new suitor every year trying to pry him out. That is not a show stopper but being as young as he is it is hard to believe he would be here more than 5-6 yrs if he is successful.

I hope he is. It will all come out in the wash In 10 days. If Herman doesn't get a big $7 million offer from LSU or any offer , I will personally go up to his office and piss on his desk.

So compete.

Texas isn't all it's cracked up to be, and never has been.

Herman is what every program needs. The guy is mensa, he is a genius. His adjustments are analytical.

Meyer and OSU have not been the same since he left. He was down to his third quarterback and still winning big.

Jimbo is LSU's #1 target...LSU doesn't really care about the "bidding war for #2" when we've got our #1 target.

I understand that some might feel Herman would be the better choice of the 2, but Jimbo is LSUs choice and thus what Herman does really doesn't concern LSU.

Why would we involve ourselves in the Herman sweepstakes when we already have the guy we wanted?

It makes total sense if you accept the fact that LSU wanted Jimbo and Jimbo t LSU is done.

Agreed, and I would make him tell me no one thousand times before I moved on to other options if I were Alleva.

Hell, if we played this right, we have a top tier coach in the bag now.

While resources will be a factor, where each of them wants to be will also be a factor. There's more to consider than just resources.
