Yea well I'm not sure drinking PBR with the inbred trash of Tuscaloosa is such a good time either

I wonder if the regents understand that the $100m contract us just the beginning. After Saban wins the Big 12 next season, Sexton will get the NFL rumors cranked up & demand $15m/yr. By the end of the end of the initial contract, Saban will be making $25m per.

Mack's denying he is retiring or stepping down
Sources are reporting Saban will be the next Tejas coach
Saban is about to sign his Bama extension once he gets off the recruiting trail
I'll say this (my honest opinion) if Texas regents are stupid enough to offer Saban a 10 yr deal worth 100 mil (Having him coach in his mid-70's) I really hope Bama doesn't counter such a ridiculous deal. If Saban wants to go have tea with that band of idiots in Austin that are clearly a bunch of bumbling bafoons with this situation then so be it.
And I appreciate more than anyone what Saban has done at Bama but the U of Alabama will be OK. This is not FSU who Bowden built or Boise St, it is ALABAMA where a coach roamed the sidelines who won 6 NCs. Hell we were in the dark ages with Dumbose and Shula and each one of those guys had 10 win seasons. It is a premier job in the best division of the best conference in college football and Sabn would be absolutely DESTROYED by the media if he left now, like this, with Bama's offer on the table and what would Bama do?
Bill Battle wouldn't have a free minute to make a statement from answering phone calls from all the interested coaches and NO ONE is off limits since it is such a good job putting a HC in a great position for success long term with a stacked roster.
This is my rant, now I'm done. Y'all have a nice day.

IDK about all of that. Sure it's a top 10 job, but with a surging AU and FSU, is that really the truth when you consider recruiting? Let's not kid ourselves: Alabama's competitive advantage in recruiting is one thing and one thing only: Saban.

This statement tells a lot about you.

Bama fans forget they have gaps between their great coaches. If Saban leaves, enjoy not competing for the SEC championship.
Uhhh. Not really. Literally every single Alabama coach since Bryant other than Perkins and Shula either won an SEC title or finished first in the division. The bolded part of your statement is a far more absurd and baseless comment than anything the OP said.

If you were really being honest, you'd admit that Bama fiscally CAN'T counter that deal.

Not scared, really not. I could care less if the contract offers a coach at Bama who is close (2-3 years) from retiring a 10 yr contract, then I hope he takes it, coaches 2 years and retires, simple as that.
I am just tired of hearing every media outlet in Austin and every LSU fan on here saying its a done deal, yet Mack is on ESPN saying he hasn't heard a word of this etc, yet everyone assumes this brilliant group of Texas regents who is handling the end of Mack's career about as graceful as a bull in a china shop, is somehow secretly lured Saban away?

1. it would not be about the money if/when he goes to Texas it's about becoming the GOAT winning 3 NCs at 3 different major universities...
2. It's not about the money with Texas they got more money than anyone and can out bid anyone if it actially came down to money being the issue...
3. Saban could care less what the media thinks he will say all the right things and the time that need to be said...
4. Read 1, 2 and 3 again till it sinks in...

That is exactly the reason why I say don't counter it because that is such an implausible deal and to begin on that deal if it happens in 3 years he'll be making 20 - 25 mil it's just ridiculous

I'm serious, if you don't think with the way Bama's roster is stacked right now that Bama could go out and get any coach they wanted, you are seriously fooling yourself

15 down-votes and counting.

This is the kind of shite that pisses me off about not having access to the Bama board. Y'all can come here, the Rant, the LSU recruiting board, etc, and spout off whatever bullshite you come up with.
