quote:

1. Jimbo fisher
* PROS------Great recruiter, proven winner, great offensive mind, can develop QBs, LSU ties.
* CONS------Discipline (Winston), Low chance he goes
* Bottom Line----Great coach, HR hire.

I could see this if FSU wasn't the king of the ACC at the moment. I just don't see Jimbo wanting to jump back into a competitive SECW. Especially when FSU is currently the best team in the state of Florida.

quote:

2. Mike Gundy
* Pros-----Great offense, has won conference championships, Has developed good QBs, great track record in comparison to most coaches, TX recruiting
* CONS-----Recruiting questions in LA, A few bad years, defensive question marks.
*Bottom Line----Great coach, questionable D

Don't see Alleva offering the job to him.

quote:

3. Jim Mora, Jr
* Pros-----NFL experience, good offense, great recruiting, built UCLA into winner.
* CONS-----Lost some games that he shouldn't, limited college experience.
*Bottom Line----Good football mind, questionable college experience

He didn't leave Los Angeles for the UT job. LSU would have to offer him big money.

quote:

5. Bret Bielema
*PROS-----Power run game like our current recruits, proven winner, Defensive mind.
*CONS-----recruiting questions, too high a buyout, doubtful he leaves, no proven SEC success
*Bottom Line-----Has some success and runs a good style for us, but hasn't recruited at a high level and has been questionable in SEC success.

You won't be able to sale this fanbase on a guy who is currently 2-14 in conference play.

quote:

4. Dabo Swinney
* PROS-----Tremendous recruiter, good offense, young, not afraid to fire assistants, Good QB evaluation, Beat Urban Meyer, puts many star players in pros
* CONS-----Needs good assistants, trouble beating USCe
* Bottom Line-----Another "CEO" coach, but keep Chavis and we might be in business. Can recruit with the best.

Another coach with infinite amount of talent. But always manages to lose two or three games a year. Pass.

Before going overseas I lived in Memphis and I knew that everyone was high on him and 9-3 is quite an accomplishment for UM. I'd like to see him do it one more time before being kicked up to the big time leagues though.

He's done a hell of a job and I've heard him mentioned on some CFB podcast recently.

NCAA investigation due in large part to his handling of the Winston case. This could affect the whole Felony State athletic dept...

was miles a huge risk coming to LSU with a 28-21 record at oklahoma state and zero ties to LA? Same with Saban at Mich State. Urban with Utah...

if you can coach, recruit, and motivate, you'll do well at the SEC level.

Oh you mean the Memphis guy has years of experience as a position coach in the NFL or years of experience at top 20 programs?

seriously. Are you saying that the Memphis guy...MEMPHIS, is equivalent to Miles at OSU and his past or Saban at MSU and his past?

really???????

eh, I think he'd do a good job. clearly he doesn't have as much experience as when saban and miles were hired (they were much older, he's 38)

go watch some videos of him. at least he speaks normal and is precise with his words

1- I like Les and the way he handles himself. Fits this crazy arse fan base to a T, so that's not a selling point for me lol

and I will look into his past, but this year he is a major risk, only after a bunch say no imo

IF all these guys say no, then you go to the back up considerations like Mark Hudspeth.

You lost all creditability with that statement. No way in hell LSU turns the LSU football program over to a ULL guy with zero wins worth a crap at a crappy football school.

You are a ULL fan, right? Who else is that delusional.

Not so fast. A recruiting hot bed and more money? I'd take it. Although we can do much better than Bert.

1. Id' make the call to Tuscaloosa.

Assuming I don't get my call returned:

2. Bobby Petrino. Although, I'd need to be convinced his James Dean days are over.
3. Jimbo Fisher

I know I'm late to the thread but I have to point out this retarded hypocrisy.

Pertaining to Dabo:

quote:

They could also do much worse. People don't give Dabo enough credit for the program he's built at Clemson and the players he's put through Clemson.

Ummmmm... Reminds me of someone else. LES fricking MILES

I'd call saban, considering all the sabanistas think he would jump on the chance to come back. Then I'd call Patterson, briles, gundy, Mora, stoops.

Jimbo would be way down the list for me. But def above beilima.
