Not sure I'd stick Studrawa in there. He's with Meyer now at OSU, so he must know what he's doing when it comes to the offensive line, or Urban would never have hired him.

If Miles would be content to stay there, UH just might hire him.

Why would UH want to go from Herman's offense to 1970s Michigan three yards and a cloud of nothing?

Les Miles did everything wrong....
Couldn't beat Bama
Couldn't change the offense
Couldn't win the SEC
LSU was never going anywhere with him, they should have hired Spurrier. LSU went with the cheapest available and since then the fan base has dwindled due to poor play. Mistake from the start.

I don't think it's his stubbornness as much as it is his age. I still think he'll wind up coaching again, though. He'll be the right fit for somebody.

I agree with this. I also think he would be a great replacement for Corso on Gameday. He's equally quirky, just in a different way. I do think his next coaching job will be somewhere in the Big Ten though.

The man can recruit

No one thought he was a great recruiter before he came to LSU. No one will think he is a great recruiter if he is lucky enough to find a coaching position after LSU. LSU the program was more responsible for recruiting success than Miles was.

Us too .... Hence the incredible frustration with him towards the end. People here were not being unreasonable. I know that's hard to believe lol

I don't understand the gameday thing. The only reason anyone listened to him was to make fun. Him speaking is unbearable.

Not much worse than Corso, actually. However for some reason I just don't see him yucking it up with Herbstreit on the set of College Gameday.

The man can't speak in complete sentences. Corso, even after a stroke, makes more sense than Les Miles.

don't see it, i think too many people confuse not being able to compose a rational sentence with being quirky. i don't think he has the personality for tv

It was laughable people ever thought schools would be lining up for miles.

Funny people think the school are not choosing Les. I really think it is more Les waiting for the right school to offer.
Dude has been a successful coach, he doesn't need to go to some 2nd tier university. Plus even though he has stated he wants to coach again, he has millions of reasons to wait.

MAC bound: Central Michigan, Kent St., Akron or some other such team.

Time is not on his side. If he lays out another year I don't see him being able to get back in at a decent job.

Not many teams are gonna hire a guy his age that runs his offense.

Runs what offense? LSU actually had a good offense when they had a decent QB. Bo the offense will never be a top 10 unit but that "offense" had some great years as well.

Huh? He made millions coaching football....I will never feel sorry for him....was born large and received a football scholarship to one of the best universities for football and academics in the world....

You're joking, right? He's 62, most people retire at his age,and he's VERY well off.

If Les would have :

1. Took his hands off the offense
or
2. Hired another OC and took his hands off the offense
or
3. Changed his offensive philosophy and took his hands off the offense

He would still be at LSU and still be employed. Most everyone liked Les. This was not a likeability issue it was simple stubbornness on his part.

He is not here because of his refusal to change

He is from Ohio. I wonder if Cincinnati would be intriguing to him
