If he runs the table, absolutely deserves a shot. He will get the best OC he can get and Aranda is already here for the defense. As long as he doesn't interject himself too much like he did at Ole Miss he would be an instant upgrade over Miles. Miles was a recruiter and the kids loved him. Coach O is already better than Miles at recruiting and I think the kids will love him just as much as Miles.

With that being said, if you can get a Herman or Fisher you don't pass that opportunity up. You give O a raise and keep him on staff. He's worth keeping in some capacity.

I wouldn't mind. Bring in a top OC, and I'd be ok.

Hear, hear!

I don't think we've ever had a HC who loved LSU more than this guy does. Golden opportunity for him to show us he's the man.

If Bradley Dale Peveto was promoted as the interim head coach, and we ended up winning out, including a SEC Championship, how many on here would honestly want him to become the permanent head coach for this program?

If they win out they have a decent shot of getting into the playoffs.

It all has to be some sort of conspiracy/massive troll job/O's family joining the board.

Or are people that infatuated with hiring a "Louisiana Man?"

There is absolutely no reason to fire Les to hire O. It makes 0 sense, and I don't understand the sentiment that he should be a priority even if he wins out. I'm shocked that some are serious about it.

I really thought, with the decision to part ways with Les already made, I could relax and enjoy the rest of the season for what it is. However, now I have to be worried that half of our fanbase is going to be demanding that Orgeron be made our permanent head coach.

I love the thought of having a true Louisianan at the helm. The fact that O has connections coast to coast certainly helps. He's got his shot, only time will tell. In my book though, he could lose a game or two, but if we see real revitalization and revolution I'd be for sticking around.

Why does this have ANY bearing on the HC job? It means nothing.

Is saban from alabama, Jimbo from Florida? Etc?

I would think people would just be glad to be winning but oh well

I would be ecstatic that we won out.

But, but do you think O could take next yeats team and make them a playoff contender? Because I have little doubt that Herman could.

I know agree.
He's a novelty. LSU doesn't need a novelty as HC.

BS, that is just stupid. Coach O has been doing and saying nothing but the right stuff since he was named the IHC! He has shown he agrees with the rant sentiment on what needs to be done! He knows what was broken.

And to the part of him winning with Les Miles players... well that is not exactly right. A number of LSU players are here because of Coach O.

And if he wins with this team how in the hell is that a downgrade! Miles couldn't do it! We are batting .500 right now with the tougher part of the schedule ahead of us.

Now I am not saying O is the best for the job but I hear over and over people blowing the thought off without any substance as to why!

If you vote is NO at least back it up with something besides NO!

That part was simply an opinion/ personal preference. I think it would be cool to have a home-grown guy bring us to the level of those guys, IF that's possible.
...ill be sure to keep my thoughts to myself next time, sorry d-bag.
