Just tell me Kelly wasn’t waiting for Rees. Way to much good news recently for that.

I’m not going to tell you anything

You’re going to remember that Kelly’s previous OC led the top offense in the country and you’re going to calm the frick down if he ends up deciding the guy you don’t want is the right replacement

He could make the perfect hire and then you get pissed because someone doesn’t portal in.

Never happy. You want to be miserable.

Not really. Just don’t want Kelly to hire a dud when there are way better options out there.

Whether Sloan or Rees calls plays it’ll be Kelly’s offense. Kelly knows football like the back of his hand. This isn’t some stubborn, archaic Les Miles situation whereby we’re praying it’s the perfect hire.

There is no better fit FOR KELLY in the nation than REES.

Sloan is already here and says hello.

Rees was not good at ND. I don’t think CBK wants to go backwards on offense. The pressure has clearly been brought up a notch.

Really doesn’t matter. It’s BK offense regardless. At this point, y’all just gotta put some trust in the man. He’s correcting mistakes and has shown the offense is far from the problem

He wasn’t good at ND. And pretty sure none of the Alabama fans want him to stay. Soooo?

Strange that Saban would have hired and retained such a bad OC

Rees was available for saban to hire because ND didn't want him back.

I don’t get all the hate for Rees

TD CC Board opinions > Kelly’s & Saban’s I guess

For an offensive guy like Kelly to make him a young OC at a place like ND is pretty high praise, and then he tried to bring him as his first choice to LSU. Then Nick brought him to Bama and praised him for developing over the course of his first season.

The guys obviously a bright young OC. It’s not like NDs offense improved this year after he left despite having a better QB situation with Hartman

I don’t think we go after Rees simply bc there’s not really a spot

He has the exact same role as Sloan (outside of coordinating), even if they don’t feel Sloan is ready to be OC, they also still likely aren’t really wanting to sign up for 2 QB coaches, so you’re making an either or choice there. Given Sloans importance in Underwood’s recruiting, keeping him is important even if it’s not at OC. And we don’t exactly have a ton of free spots with the extra attention on the defensive staff

I trust BK to make the best move for us and wouldn’t melt if we did this but I really don’t think it makes sense for either party at this point.

Worst case scenario ND would likely love to scoop him up as QB coach in a rebound year, most likely he’ll have plenty of suitors as a guy who led a playoff offense, that’ll carry weight with many programs regardless of how smooth it looked

Neither was the player talent at ND compared to the SEC.

I’m not saying he is good. I hate the dude, I’m talking fit for Kelly.
