If anyone should know and recognizing mocking people, it should be you.

</~~~~~disappointed.

But I do agree, I did have PJ-esque exclamation points a few times in this thread. Grrrrrrr

Meltdown? Kragthorpe came up last year and people weren't flipping out then.

I have others I'd rather have but he'd prob work fine.

Yes, his wife was sick. Yes, that's why he had to back out of the A&M gig. Yes, it is mental illness. Yes, those tend to linger. Yes, that is a concern going forward as to how effective Krags would be or how long he could handle an LSU asst job.

But, those are the facts according to people in Texas I know and apparently rumors a lot of others on here have heard.

Fuente is the only name of the rumored interviews/internal hires that is not mediocre or worse.

He won't say on this board. He claims he's mentioned them 100 times, but if he has, it's been in IM/Lunch threads that are 57 pages long to his buddies that no one else reads or cares about.

I guess everyone is supposed to read every one of his posts on every board to see who he prefers.

My google search says his wife has multiple sclerosis and is a heart patient as well. I have a family and sometimes you have to make sacrifices for your family. My father taught me this. You can't take a job if you know its gonna be a major hardship on your family. He was coaching at Texas AM and his family was still in Tulsa. I know he has got 3 kids as well though 1 is older. I hope he moves his family down here to be with him if he comes. If Les wants him give him a 3 year commitment so he can have some stability. If his family is not in Baton Rouge this is gonna be an issue again. I hope he can work it out because he seems to be a 1st class person. Even if he doesn't come to LSU I wish him the best.

Wonder how people would be feeling if crowton was gone last year, krag hired, and he ditched because of his wife's condition?

I feel bad for him and his wife and everything.. And that's really sad, but LSU football isn't a charity.

Find the best OC with the least amount of baggage and let's roll.

Period.

If the choices are Stud, Gonzo, Ensminger and Kragthorpe, then I'll take Kragthrorpe and not look back.

i love how Miles can so easily lower expectations. "As long as its not Crowton, I like it." "As long as its not Gonzo or Stud." Its not as if we have the ability to pay top 3-5 for an OC nationally, loads of talent, the opportunity to move into a prime HC job in a few years etc. As long as its the lesser evil.

A top OC is not going to come here because he won't have total control of the offense. This will always be Miles' offense. Not saying that's a bad thing, but it's the truth.

They were paying crowton 500,000 a YEAR to call the stupid arse plays he was calling

If LSU cant find someone for 500,000 a year that's proven to come here, call plays and teach the QB's I'm speechless.

I think LSU could do a lot better than Kragthorpe. People aren't exactly fighting over the guy. Isn't he unemployed?

Agreed Max. It's sickening. I just find it hilarious we're targeting some guy whose greatest accomplishment is giving Drew Bledsoe one half decent year. It's pathetic.

I'm on the fence with Miles as is and these weird arse decisions I just don't understand. LSU has won in spite of it's offense for three years. You'd think they want to avoid a repeat.
