After Herman and Fisher, there aren't any marquis coaches that we could have possibly landed. O is a temporary, acceptable alternative who has a big upside. Coach O will have a short rope. If he doesn't deliver, he will be gone at the first sight of a chance to land a bigger name. Alleva made a very good, adult decision based on the circumstances.

Alleva and smart in same sentence? If Coach O is the HC then LSU mediocrity will continue. Might as well define the season on whether we beat Auburn and Florida.

Short rope...like the one he gave miles a million times. Alleva isn't a man. He doesn't have a set of nuts in between his leg. We're gonna ride this train till it runs off the tracks. And we deserve every second of it.

If Alleva had hired Fuente or Fedora, he would have set LSU back a lot farther if they don't pan out. Most of the people bitching about O would also be bitching about those guys, too, and saying Alleva couldn't land the big name, yada, yada. If O doesn't deliver, he will be gone, and we save our powder for the next potential big hire. O will have a low buyout and easy out clause for LSU.

I don't trust Alleva! He looks way to much like a co-worker of mine who is basically a doodoohead. They must be related or, if doppelgängers, Aleva should be canned for sharing a physical profile and the brain of said doodoo head.....,

Alleva is not concerned about you anxiety of "doing this again in 2 years." He is doing it for the good of his employer.
