That is what Woodward is paid to do. Aggies have this mindset and he has to too if he wants to work there. I think there is an argument to be made that it is starting to come around for them as an athletics department. Prior to the early 2000s they only had 3 national titles across all sports. They have a bunch now. It is really a remarkable accomplishment. Maybe football follows suit eventually.
I think the aggie delusion/tradition indoctrinated into them from the moment they set foot on campus has allowed them to run their head into the wall over and over again, with enthusiasm. Money and school spirit have never waned despite never really accomplishing anything. Just like the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs, if you keep trying like its going to happen, it will eventually happen.
In the above baseball example, they are more like the red sox in that their fans believe they are every bit as good as their rival even though they have less than a tenth of the accomplishments. Cubs fans had hope but embraced losing almost like a badge of honor, I don't see that in aggie fans (source: married to one).

is this where I give my standing ovation to Skip Bertman for letting Pat walk right out the damn door?

I am right with you on that account.

Yeah, I'll lose my shite if the ags add another LSU guy to the mix. It's bad enough they have Henry and Woodard. Then they could luck into impeccable timing where Jimbo just happens to become available despite his obvious interest in LSU. Fuggggg

If Jimbo wanted to be at LSU he would be here.

I don’t disagree with what you said. We’ve also upgraded our athletic facilities in a tremendous way in the last few years and not just in football. Our enrollment exploded over the last 30 years and as a result our donor base has as well

I don't consider Jimbo an LSU guy
Posted on 11/27/17 at 10:08 am to burke985
he's a far reach compared to Scott and Pat, but Jimbo would have been at LSU after the 2015 season without F King's intervention

You're underestimating Alleva's incompetence.

bullshite. F King was the scapegoat. If Jimbo wanted to be at LSU he's had two chances to do so, and has made impossible demands both times. Very good chance we're about to watch it play out again with aTm this week.

He'd be stupid to turndown 10years a 7.5. And aTm is stupid to pay that for Jimbo. He's not Saban or Sabanlite.

Because it's FSU turn to counter.
Give it a day, after FSU puts together a package for assistant salaries and a waterfall, and the 'expectation' will be that he stays from 'sources.'
ATM adds more guaranteed money, FSU pledges more to pay the Tallahassee PD for game day duty, Jimmy Sexton takes a short fapping using 100 dollar bills break, rinse, repeat.
