Orgeron as long as Aranda and Kiffen are along for the ride (and possibly Pete Jenkins), if not, look elsewhere

Time to sit back and watch

Where else would he go? He was retired before Orgeron called him up.

Tier 1. Jimbo/Herman (after Saban turns us down... oh I'm serious)

Tier 2. Chip / Gundy / Petrino / Fedora / Taggart / Aranda promotion / ?

Tier 99. Orgeron

Everyone is saying is that Herman is going to Texas. He has a lot of ties to Texas.

If Jimbo and Herman pass, then our best option is Petrino. At that point we have to throw our ethics out the window and hire somebody we know will get it done on the field. Petrino can light up a scoreboard, and hopefully we can convince Aranda to stay. Recruiting would be the biggest concern with that staff, but winning would solve that.

Fans wouldnt love it at first, but winning solves that too. And knowledgeable fans would understand that he's the best available if we get turned down by the golden boys.

Pete did this as short term thing for a friend, if the guy wanted full time work he'd have it. But at his age I think he prefers the advisory roles he's been doing

So 2 coordinators that will be with us 1 or 2 years?

What happens then?

frick that, Orgeron is a bad head coach. He has proven it. He shouldn't be in the top 50 of candidates.

O fan boys

offense does well against bad teams "see guys, look he's setting records with his new approach!"

offense gets shut the hell down "well this was the hand he was dealt this season, its not his OC."

#2 has some truth to it, but when push came to shove our offense was no different than it was under Les for the most part. That looked like a Les Miles coached team saturday.

My source says he will.

It was Orgeron(if he won out) - Jimbo - Aranda.
I imagine now Orgeron out and Herman is obviously in the mix, so...
Jimbo - Herman or Aranda, I believe is the order.

It wasn't just the offense. We have looked completely inept and disorganized against the only two good teams we've played.

This is the biggest problem with Orgeron that no one really talks too much about. Hes not a DC or an OC which means he will always rely on his hires to be successful, which in itself isnt bad but what happens if theyre successful? They get scooped up for a HC job. Orgeron would have constant leadership turnover at both coordinating positions. Thats not a recipe for sustained success. Thats triennial turmoil.

With a HC job in the SEC you really need to lock down one side of the ball with your HC. He needs to be a really good DC or OC first and foremost.

regardless of the hire, I'm cleaning house on the offensive side of the ball. Jury is still out on Craig I guess, tough to judge in this offense.
