I’ll have more respect for coaches and fans when they all acknowledge these are mercenaries.

He has been fighting for better facilities, higher recruiting budget etc. Jay Paterno and another big booster have voted down these things. They had a $50 million facility upgrade on the addenda in July that got rejected by the PSU board of trustees.
Paterno is still salty about how Joe was treated during tge Sandusky ordeal. I wouldn’t be surprised if Franklin is looking to jump ship.
