Art Briles will have to pay a penance. Kiffin is on the prowl for a head coaching position, Helfrich will be too. Same with Riley. Canada could be an option but Pitt could come up with enough coin to not make the move worth it. Look at the next tier: Gilbert is out of work as is Kendall Briles (who may or may not tainted, depending on who you ask), Major Applewhite or Sonny Cumbie. Or the new OC could be someone we've not heard from yet.
You can bet the new hire will have to be a strong recruiter, especially in Texas where qb's are a dime a dozen.

so you are saying we should get a mediocre OC that isnt good so he wont leave in a few years to be a HC ...All coaches and people for that matter want to better themselves and be at the top you get someone who is satisfied with where they are then production is not as great
