This was my spill last night to some of my family. This is Texas trying to force Strong out and being arrogant enough to believe that even though this will royally piss off Herman, they'll still land him. Such a risky move. Just hope he realizes who it was that leaked it. This will take away from his players, it took away from our game with A&M, and only benefits Texas. ESPN will do everything they can to promote Texas. They made the wretched deal with the LHN and are losing monumental amounts of money over it, they know that Texas doing well makes more money for them. We have to hope that Alleva and King are in Memphis and ready to humbly speak to Herman and inspire confidence in our administration.

You do understand "they" in that question was in reference to the UT boosters, correct?

Indeed, I can imagine a big O team guy like Ruffin Rodrigue catching wind of the accelerated negotiations with Herman and placing a discreet call to his favorite Houston based UT booster, knowing that the leak would likely scuttle the deal and open the way for his boy, O. Not beyond belief, by any means, having listened to Sports Today, this morning.
