I don't know much about the guy but from seeing his stats over the years it looks like he had a really good year this year with Pitt and was pretty average before. Am I missing something? Someone who is more knowledgeable please sell me on him being a homer in hire.

His 2011 offense ranked top 20 in most everything. That's the best offense he's coached.

Defend why your guy has been at so many different schools since 2010.

Maybe, I'm sure all 20 years up to this point are the exceptions, this one year is the rule.

I really like his demeanor in the video shown earlier...constantly coaching and pushing for perfection...my kind of guy...

Idk if he's a home run hire. He's shown the ability to craft an offense to his team's strengths as well as try different approaches when things don't initially work. He's had a history of solid to good QB play, sometimes with talented QBs, sometimes with average talent. I think he'll do a good job.

The one thing that concerns me about Canada were the comments made by the NC State head coach when he fired Canada at the end of 2015. IN short, he implied that Canada's offense depends on winning talent match-ups at key positions and wasn't creative enough in manufacturing match-ups in space.

The guy that fired him as a scapegoat?

What about the other schools that have let him go? It appears the guy may be very average outside of a couple good years. Maybe the light switch turned on recently like our HC...
