LSU's offense was 112 then 90-something this yr. how is that comparable to ,say, a top 25 offense?

You are saying that are defense doesn't have to be Top 10 for us to win if we have a great offense that will win the games for us, right? Well, by that line of thinking, our offense really doesn't need to improve much since our defense has won us 10 games this year. That is stupid right?!! It is. We need both the defense and offense to be great.

really? where's this happened?

I'll tell you where, how about Texas Tech. How many great RBs or 1000 yard RBs did Leach have at Tech? None, because they never went there!!! And players leave programs all the time when there is a change in philosophy and coaches.

you apparently think he transforms LSU into the spitting image of TT

As was said above by MOT, to run Leach's offense means you have to have great depth at WR and TE. I will also add OL to that group. Those scholarships for extra players at those positions come at the expense of other positions -- the defense. So yeah, once Leach's scheme is fully implemented, kiss the defense good bye. And by the way, if we aren't going to run Leach's offense the way he is known for, the way he ran it at TT, then why get him at all. Don't hire him for what he is and has done, then expect him to change. You hire someone that is and has done what it is you wish to do.
