agree 100%.

if texas is looking for a coach after this season, we aren't getting herman. he may even be a good enough reason for them to fire him at 8-4. don't put it past em.

let's say Texas Fires Strong and hires Herman. Do we go after Strong?

I know they are frustrated with Strong now, but he is a good coach and Brown left the cupboard bare. the year he left, they had 0 draft picks.

The conference LSU plays in. Compare the 2 conferences. One is rife with contention and uncertainty and the other is the most prestigious and most well respected in all of football. It's bush leage vs the big leagues.

This is so much bullshite. Your SEC bias has made your point completely invalid.

Seems like Texas = Tom Herman's dream job.

you would think so, but Briles proved this isn't the case back in 2014.

I know Texas was a lot worse off than they seem to be now, but before UT hired Strong they had contact with Briles and offered him a chance to interview for the job.

Apparently that didn't sit well with Art and he told them to frick off, but it later came out that he would have taken the job had they offered it to him straight up, instead of a chance to interview.

He grew up and went to college in Cali, so it is just as likely that he goes to USC.

Yeah, as you described, Briles is a prickly, prideful sumbitch. He considered his body of work to be his interview and was seriously angry that, as opposed to just throwing him a huge offer and begging on their knees, Texas wanted him to come interview, down the road in Austin, during bowl prep season. He thought he'd done enough for a "the job is yours if you want it" call. Instead he got the "you're a finalist, make a pilgrimage to Mecca to complete the process" call.

If he goes, stays or comes to LSU, the Aggies are shitting themselves.
He coached at UT for those who are stupid on here.
And spent 14 of his 18 years coaching in the State of Texas.

If the Texas job is pen at the end of the year Herman will go to Texas.

If its not open he will more than likely come to LSU.
