I don't even think it'd take that long.

What perks put Texas in a better position to win right now?

Winning in college football is a two part formula. Recruiting and Coaching.

Saban has his guys already in place at Alabama, and if you follow recruiting you know that he isn't going to exceed his recruiting success and would be lucky to match it at Texas.

So basically, there are better football players at Alabama right now and there are better football players committed to alabama right now. Alabama has been the best prgram in the country since his arrival.

So yes, please explain to me how Texas is in a better position to win right now. Try to form a few sentences rather than asking rhetorical questions and posting emoticons.

More likely back to mediocrity in my opinion. I don't have a high opininon of him and I can't quite put my finger on it, because you can't argue with his success at Clemson, I just don't think he can sustain it or better yet get them to the next level, i.e. 'real' NC contender.

I guess it'll just take Saban leaving for you to realize what we're telling you.

This may sound strange, but I really think Texas would have the potential to win a championship every single year under Saban.

They would get to the playoffs every year, but from there they would have two tough games, that they'd have to win in order to be champions. Not quite as easy as it is now.

No argument. But look what the change in DC did for Texas this season. Also consider that winning is not a function of Texas v. Alabama but Texas v. the Big 12. If Texas has a good, not great, recruiting class and the improvement in coaching they could pass some of their conference mates and be back in the top 10.

Scary part is that he would have the pick of the litter when it comes to national kids as well.

I understand there are a few kids from up north that has gone to Alabama, but I guarantee you they've lose kids mainly because, well.....it's Alabama. If it weren't for paid scholarships or playing for one of the best coaches to ever live, how many of these kids would think Tuscaloosa, AL would be a fine destination to move?

Austin, TX is a MUCH more attractive destination for anyone in the country.

That's great, it still doesn't win football games does it?

This is just ridiculous. Saban is within 250 miles of Atlanta, New Orleans, and Mobile.

You seem convinced that Nick Saban would do better at Texas than Alabama, so I guess I'll ask. Starting in year two, he has gone 72-8 with 3 national titles at Alabama, I'd like to see your best guess at what he can accomplish at Texas in that time frame

Saban will have leveraged new contracts with raises in March of 2013 and again in December of 2013. At this rate he will own the University of Alabama in two or three years.

This kind of crap wouldn't be tolerated for long anywhere.

He could sign top 3 classes every year and never leave the state of texas.

He would be tyrant at UT.

Bama Scoop I wish more people had your view. There is or was a silent minority that feel and felt the same way when Nick left LSU. How would you feel about him leaving and then coming back in a few years to Coach at Auburn?

HEs signed like 2 kids from NOLA since he's been at bama

Pretty comical you believe this. In their recent years of success and top 10 finishes they usually manage to get their shite pushed in by oklahoma on the field and battle with them for texas recruits, see adrian peterson.

This was all before Aggy joined the SEC. The entire country recruits Texas, so your reasoning here is pretty flawed

You're in so much denial, it's not even funny.

FTR, I don't think Saban is leaving Alabama, but your posts are comically biased.
