He is 72-8 with 3 national titles over the last five years, it's a pretty fricking stupid comment to say definitively that he will be way bigger than this

But I do understand it's hard to admit from where you're sitting that Alabama is the king of this sport by a comfortable margin, and Texas certainly isn't the program nipping at our heels

Anyone know if Saban has ever expressed interest in being an Athletic Director?

There's no way I could see him wanting this, and no school that would have Nicki Saban sitting in an office while some coahc is going 9-3

I didn't say the money couldn't lure Saban, speaking about the football program specifically.

What perks put Texas in a better position to win right now?

And this is what wins football games? You can spin it all you want but that isn't going to change what has happened for over a century, you know, when Bama has proven to be a better program than Texas (and everyone else)

Try? History backs that up pal, you're the one attempting to ignore what has already transpired and choosing to disregard that in favor of seeing the future.

I disagree, he struggles against the spread.

Is it not true that Alabama has twice the recruiting budget than anyone in the SEC? How has that turned out for you guys?

The typical BAMA fan "look at history" response.

What about today? What about the present day where Texas has their own network? How's that for resources/income? A recruiting ground that is FAR more superior. Money for assistants. Money for Saban under the table. He doesn't have an ego big enough to say he'd like to win in 3 different spots?

If Saban goes to Texas, do they take his statue down @ Alabama?

No way. He's not even close. Bryant has a higher career winning percentage despite coaching almost twice as many games. Saban has never won back to back conference titles. Again, how can a coach that can't even manage to win his own conference two years in a row be considered the GOAT? Saban has only one undefeated season. That's the same number as Mack Brown. Without a mulligan in 2011 and Ohio State serving a bowl ban in 2012, Saban would be sitting on one NC at Bama. He also needed a ton of luck to even get a place in the BCS National Championship game in 2003. Saban is a very good coach but he has too many holes in his resume to be considered the GOAT.

The SEC didn't exactly suck back then, but to pretend that it was anything even closely resembling what it is now is laughable. What Saban has done consistently over the last few years is unequalled, IMHO.

anyone with half a brain can see it...don't generalize us with idiots that are in every fanbase. And more than likely, if someone's arguing against it, they are just trying to rustle your jimmies.

Bama is certainly the king right now. Because of Saban.

Put Saban at Texas with their resources and a weaker conference that they basically own and he's even better than he is at alabama.

I know it's hard for you to understand that alabama is not the #1 job in college football nor do they have the money or resources of Texas.

Well alabama was nipping at Ole Miss's heels pre saban so I'm sure it would take Saban about 2 years to overtake bama and everyone else if he were to go to Texas.
