O has said several times he's a pro style guy, doubt briles makes the list.

If O gets the job, I'll take whoever he picks. I certainly am impressed with his staff arrangement so far.

Coach O was asked a week ago about that, if he got the gig, and said he had a couple of coaches in mind already.

I would have no problem keeping the staff as it is if we win out, obviously if we beat Bama, no tweaks need.

The glaring problem and gorilla in the room would be to hire a QB coach.

Sarkesian would make a ton of sense for all sides involved.

I believe this other than i think Kiffin's going to finally get a HC job this off-season. His name gets thrown out every time, its bound to happen. I think Houston is a real possibility if/when Herman leaves.

No, the gorilla in the room would be Coach O as head coach.
Round peg, square hole.

This is my thoughts too.

Unless Lane is offered a Head coaching gig, I believe he would be the first call from O.

O followed him to USC when he was already said to have took a job here but backed out when Kiffin called. I think Kiffin may owe O a solid.

If O is out next coach I 100% have zero doubt that Lane Kiffin will be our Offensive Coordinator. You can take that to the bank.

Lane Kiffin would love to come to LSU and stick it up Sabans arse. If O is the coach Kiffin is the guy no doubt. Alabama Offensive success with dog qbs is squarely the result of Lane Kiffin. It's scarey to think what he could have done here. I'm pullin for O to make it hard for LSU not to hire him at this point he is as good as anyone else, cause it looks like Herman will be at Texas.

What's Brett Farve doing nowadays? Besides starring in razor commercials he must be pretty bored.

I am against anyone bringing the spread here. LSU consistently gets top recruits to come here even knowing the history of our almost putrid O, because they are better prepared to go to the NFL. The NFL doesn't run the spread. I am for whoever they hire for OC, as long as it is not a spread guy.

Kiffin will be a HC next year someplace like U.K. or Houston! Why take a third of the money minimum to be an OC again?? It won't happen.

I would like K Briles or the Texas OC and we could get either one, BUT if win enough games for coach O to stay (almost all of them), then how do get rid of Emsdinger after what be a remarkable turnaround of offense!!

You know he played at Texas, right? He's going with Herman to Texas, in all likelihood.

Assuming the defense continues to improve as it has within the season (and to give Aranda credit - he put in his scheme, basically the player's 3rd scheme in 3 seasons, and while it was porous at first, it has been stingy on points the whole seasons - even put points on the board against Wiscy but it wasn't enough to save our hapless offense), and Ensminger has more and more time to make changes that are effective with who we have right now - with Orgeron and Craig's recruiting prowess, I don't see how we don't do whatever is necessary to keep the staff intact. If Aranda wants to change out position coaches in the offseason - I can see that - BDP isn't going to coach linebackers and, let's face it, I love Pete Jenkins as much as the next person, but he's 75. He might not be able to handle the full load of coaching a position, recruiting and the whole deal.

But, as far as the top line guys - O, Ensminger, Craig (RC) and Aranda - if we win out - or even drop a close game to Bama, I don't know how you replace a staff that does that under these circumstances. Maybe not a full 5-year deal, but a 3-year - at the very minimum would be warranted, IMHO.
