No. The one big reason Nick has been hated is not that he left LSU, but that he left LSU, went to the NFL, then returned to college coaching at ALABAMA. If he had gone to the Big 10, the Big 12, the Pac 10 or ACC he wouldn't have gotten the hate. But going to Alabama, our biggest SEC West rival, was the button that triggered it all. Les Miles going to the Big Ten/Michigan (if he does) is not the same at all. That's my opinion, anyway.

I don't think he's that hated. I think alot of fans would be thrilled if he were to come back.

ive heard that the athletic dept folks are growing angrier at the miles is handling this. This is like third hand and Im not sure what they mean exactly. Personally I know hate Michigan and I think they are classless. I know relatively this is not gone on that long but the late time frame alters what defines dragging this out. Make the damn offer. Les needs to force the hand or dont. We need to move on or not. If Les takes even one recruit or if we lose some big ones because of him then yes he will be on par with saban in my mind.

Not at all, Miles will never be hated except by those who already do hate him.....

Not sure why its different than Saban but it is.

dont be naive if he screws are recruiting class in any significant way, if he takes ANY recruit with him or even if we get a bad hire after he leaves, he will be hated like saban just for different reasons. This courtship needs to be consumated or ended today. ever day this drags on is hurting us badly in my opinion and Les has a major role in this. Michigan is classless and bush league in my opinion.

Besides- he probably wants to go where 45% of his fan base doesn't hate his guts for winning 10+ games a year. Can you really blame him?

I want Miles to stay Ive never hated him. However, Im starting to develop anger towards him because this 11th hour song and dance is hurting LSU. He may not have decided yet but he needs to. Michigan either wants or they dont. This does not have to take days to develop. the decision to offer or not and the terms could have been all done yesterday and Miles does not have the luxury of a long time to decide. I can mediate million dollar lawsuits in one day. Just because it usually takes a while to develop does not mean it has to and this is b.s. This search is so late in the game, Miles should have protected the team and LSU first and made Michigan act fast. he is not he is doing what is best for Les only in my opinion. So I think you are absolute wrong. And wait to see what the effect of his departure is that will decide not what miles did on the field

I agree totally and that may be why he walk ultimately. But are you really giving him a complete pass if our recruiting class falls apart or if he takes some with him?

No. Much more loved. I think most of the Saban love here is just imagined.

No, if he goes to Michigan, he'll stay there. I doubt there's any chance he ever come back to coach in the SEC.

The class is not falling apart and he could not have acted any sooner. The UM job only came open last week and LSU had a bowl game to play on Friday. This is not "11th hour", nor is it in his control.

No. Nobody hated Saban until he came back to coach bama. As a matter of fact, when the Saints played the Dolphins in Tiger Stadium after Katrina, Saban got a very warm welcome.
Not so much the next time he came here.

Wait until a couple of recruits follow him to UM. Or, the first time he's at West Monroe on a recruiting trip- yep, he'll be hated.
