If Kiffin "settles" for LSU, do we want him?

Would he be able to focus if he can not get a HC job? (which he clearly wants).
Would he be one and done and be working in the background all the time to posture for next years vacancies?
I'll accept him if that is the decision, but strongly prefer we do not choose a man who would be "settling" for us.
That will be very evident, so hopefully Alleva, Orgeron and Kiffin do not think the fanbase would fall for any rhetoric which says otherwise.

I see it differently, like we just secured the best DC in the country, recruiting is heating up big time, and we're about to hire a different OC. Im stoked about the post Les era. Geaux Tigers !!!

I don't think Lane Kiffin is so much better than every other OC out there that Orgeron should be waiting on him like this.
But in a vacuum, based on his ability, he would be a good hire.
