Was anything official with the DC situation at this time last year?

I have to think there are people being told there will be no change (i.e. Mike S., Bryan, Tigerlawyer), because that's what they want out there.

Maybe an attempt to keep things on the down low for the team, program, media, etc.

As far as BP being DT, unless he's went to extremes (discussing the birth of a new daughter with another poster), it's not him. I was under the impression he may be Lombardi's golf pro or something like that.

Nope, just belowpar posting telling people that changes would occur and that coaches leaving would find other jobs, IIRC.

belowpar >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> everyone else.

Dude sold me back when Pelini left, and he mentioned CLM musing about promoting from within the program and mentioned specific coaches while CLM was interviewing Tenuta and others...LONG before the two-headed beast that was were officially promoted to co-clusterfricks. Whoever he is, belowpar is breaking news long before other reputable posters are.

For the record, I don't think belowpar is DT...I don't think DT would be quite THAT wired into things as they happen (I know a hand full of, um, similarly connected people, and while they have good juice, they're NEVER as...shall we say...timely with info as belowpar is). My favorite theory is that belowpar is some IT geek reading email OR CLM himself...but whoever he is, he's solid.

Take it for what it's worth but if Crowton is on his way out he doesn't know about it.

As of this weekend, he said that he's staying, also made an interesting comment about playcalling duties this season.

Again, you can feel free to ignore me but it's from a pretty damn good source.

All I can say is that EVERYTHING i've been told is Crowton is gone. I HIGHLY doubt I'm wrong, but until it is offical things can change...if it does change i'll be the first to let you know, but I've heard nothing along the lines that he is staying.

He's a Mormon. He don't fit in around here. I say he goes back home but to Utah to stick it to BYU

After the past few years of belowpar proving himself time and time again (despite 'popular' opinion on the boards...i.e./ CLM to Michigan/Tenuta as DC/The Two-headed Beast to Stay), I am going with HIS perception.

Let's put it this way: there's a mixture of rain and sleet outside right now. If belowpar were to post and tell me it had turned to snow, I'd freaking LOOK...and it would probably be snow.

At this moment, I have no doubt that CLM is 'exploring options.' Should he decide that another year of Crowton is in the cards for us, belowpar will be the first to let us know. That said, dude seems pretty certain that Crowton is on his way out.

Well, I respect belowpar as much as anyone around here and that's why I'm trying to understand the situation.

My source is about as close to Crowton as one can get. I can promise you that. I'm not the kind of person that comes on here to spread rumors.

So I'm saying either he doesn't know, or he's just telling a different story than the plan.

Which is why I ask belowpar..........does Crowton know he's on the way out yet? Have Miles and/or the athletic department told him he's out?

Yeah, he would never coach anywhere but Utah, b/c of that.

I have no idea who belowpar is. All I can say is given his rep over the years (and his info contradicting info I've heard from fairly good sources that ultimately turned out to be wrong while belowpar was SPOT ON THE MONEY)...I'll take his word over yours.

If your source is Crowton and belowpar says he's going to be gone soon after the bowl...no matter what Crowton's been told by CLM and co, IMO, he's going to be gone after the bowl. As a matter of fact, I'm so sold on belowpar's legitimacy, that I'd advise you to advise Crowton (if he is your source) to start packing his bags and to not believe a word anyone in the AD says to him.
