Its not to win championships. Its to build up his retirement fund and roll out.

Dude will do just enough to not get fired, then say deuces

I think the last thing we’d need to worry about with Kelly is his fire

Hide all the ladders! He’ll kill another kid.

That's all these coaches are doing, sucking as many dollars as they can. The win a few games, all of sudden you're a genius.

frick, Joe Brady didn't even have to do that, basically went straight to calling plays in the NFL. (what could go wrong?)

The point is, he will be okay with mediocrity with one foot out the door

You’re an idiot. Brian Kelly is a good coach. Give him LSU athletes and he wins a championship. If O can win one Kelly can win three.

Are you questioning the commitment of a coach who killed a kid to get some practice tape?

Jesus Christ himself could come here and this board would find a way to tell you how bad of a hire it would be

This may be the worst take in a week of terrible takes.

IF, IF he comes here it is because he knows he’s hit the ceiling of what he can accomplish at ND and is leaving for the sole purpose of winning a title.

You can’t argue weather you like him or not, weather he’s a good fit or not. But he isn’t the type of personality to come here and coast. Will he win here, who knows but if Les and Ed can do it there is a good chance Kelly can too.

I would question his willingness to go for the kill.

....he's stupid

You don't leave Notre Dame to go somewhere else. You retire, or you're fired

Why?

A guy who’s wanted to win his whole life all of a sudden doesn’t care?

Listen i'm not a Kelly guy either but his track record overall doesn't lead me to believe this would be his approach

we could say this about virtually any coach being discussed

the reality is O caught lightning in a bottle. Another coach may not.

There is literally nothing in Kelly's past that would give anyone but you this impression. He has won everywhere he has been, without exception.

Wait, let me guess ... you think 60 is too old?

it's pretty old considering we have been talking about 8-10 year deals with other coaches

a 5 year deal for Kelly would make me feel better

The SECW is full of young hungry coaches with Saban being the exception

Sorry to break it to to you but Brian Kelly is not Saban
