He messed up , and his name has been taboo to mention for anything in the SEC. However, I’d die on the hill of Hugh Freeze at LSU would light it up. Like steamroller. The dude can coach, would have the offense locked down and would have the funds at his disposal to have good DCs and be able to replace them when they move on.

He’s also probably the one HC coach in the past 10 years in the SEC that actually put fear into Saban. So much so Saban had a vendetta against him/OM and we’re the ones that reported them on the recruiting stuff that everyone does, hired former OM GAs to help his defense , and publicly whined about the way offenses were going during the years Freeze was giving him fits.

If you can make the angry elf squirm that’s good enough for me, and puts you in a different category than all of the others. Plus he can recruit and coach QBs.

But let all the downvotes commence as I know this isn’t a popular opinion. There just isn’t a better coach out there for what everyone is wishing for.

I would do back flips if Freeze was the next LSU coach. I would absolutely kill it. But, it's never gonna happen unfortunately with our Title IX issues.

Given the current events surrounding LSU, I see Freeze as untouchable for SW.

FWIW, I think Freeze would be an interesting hire, but it's also hard to know how well he can run a top program and what type of recruits he can attract while keeping things clean and hooker-free.

I wish so bad.

He is a fantastic coach.

The man is not going to call anymore hookers.

He has flat out said that he isn’t ready for that level of temptation yet.

Exactly. Plus, he’s not going to retroactively commit Title IX infractions in addition to the ones LSU is dealing with now.

The dude is the Steve Spurrier we wished we’d hired in the 80s. Energy, system, confidence, and has command of the English language.

He's second only to CUM for me but since both are unrealistic I'd go with Riley.

Would be a solid OC hire for Aranda.

Any chance he would accept an OC position at LSU?

Serious question.

This is exactly the world I live in.

Fam.

Actually it may go Saban, Urban, Freeze, then Riley.

They play the Cajuns next week. Let's see him and Napier head to head with pretty equal talent

He would unquestionably have LSU winning championships for the next two decades.

I have wanted Freeze from the get go. He's admitted his mistakes, accepted and in my opinion served his punishment. He is a great coach and would be great at LSU. I know you are friends with Freeze from your posts here.....does this post have an encrypted message?

No he didn't. Watch the 5 piece documentary on YouTube done by ole miss grads that went DEEP into the investigation with a ton of information. This was ALL a ms state doing. The pissing contest between the 2 schools was way nastier than most know. Y'all just imagine shite and tell it as fact. In fact, freeze is on record saying saban was his biggest supporter. Now, ask around what saban has said about Kirby smart. Different answer. There's a cold war between those two for sure.
