How Many Of You Will Be Disappointed If Herman Is Not The Next LSU HC?

I think there's a bit of groupthink around here over Herman. He certainly seems legit and a top coach, but he has proven significantly less than Jimbo and I'm not sure he's faced real adversity yet.
If he's on board, GREAT. If he's not, I won't lose any sleep over the matter.

I would love for Herman to come here but it wouldn't disappoint me if he didn't. This whole website has an unhealthy attraction to him like I've never seen.

Usually, the way these things work out is that we don't get choice #1.
The guy we get is almost always not the obvious choice.
Miles was not the obvious choice when he was hired, and neither was Saban.
So I'm okay if the first name bandied about isn't THE name. All that matters to me is that we get the right guy. I don't care if he's well known or not.

I have Chip Kelly as #1, Herman as #1b and those rankings are subject to change.

It depends on who we do get.
Herman is without a doubt my #1 choice.
Young, brilliant and disciplined seem like a great combination.
He also seems to care about defense which a lot of smalls school offensive minded coaches ignore.

This is how I look at it. I dont know who the new coach will be until the decision is made. I have no say so in the matter. I hope it will be (1) Herman - man, I'd love to see what he could do, or (2) Jimbo. If it's someone else, I'll be disappointed that we'll never know what could have been but I'll get behind the new coach and hope he succeeds.

If Herman is not at LSU next and Fisher is, look for Herman to go FSU.

Jeff Brohm is going to a coach in the SEC one day, and probably a really good one. Just not sure LSU fans are ready to take someone from WKU or if they think he needs to coach in the AAC or some other step up conference first

Apparently there will be a lot of disappointment around here but I will not be surprised in the least. I think LSU is going to get someone that will underwhelm everyone. Much like Miles did.

I'm all in for Herman. LSU shouldn't take no for an answer. Give the man what he wants, and enjoy the championships.
