You have all the talent in the world but some of the poorest game day coaching I've ever seen.

Every coach makes mistakes on game day, but that makes up about 5 percent of the total performance of a coach-- Tressel going for it on 4th down in the Championship game last year was a fatal game day mistake.

What shocks me is that LSU fans would want Les to stay

u have to understand what LSU fans have gone through the last 8 seasons with saban rumors every year, and miles to michigan rumors every year since he's been here. but when miles turned his back to his alma mater to stay at LSU, that went a long way with me. we want stability, even if the coach isnt the greatest. if the coach can just keep the in-state players coming to LSU, there will be a few more crystal footballs in the trophy case.

I think that's how it went

Miles feels the need to at least talk to Michigan based off his past at that school. That's just common courtesy. I expect him to listen then politely say he appreciates the offer, but I'm staying at LSU.

Whoever they hire, it will be a 70/30 chance they don't pan out and the job will be vacated again a few years from now. They are already peering and planning that far ahead after seeing how poorly the current situation has gone. The next time they are in this situation, they want to move quickly and patching things up now starts putting them in position to do so.
