You have to think the Eagles attempted hires are a repudiation of Chip.
The new coach is from the tree of the guy they fired before Chip, right?
I know Chip was about as hated as you can get in Philly last season.

Kidding aside, I think it say very good things about Bert if a guy turns down the NFL.
Who was in charge of the secondary for Arkansas? Was he retained?
That seemed like the big weak spot, imo.

our cornerbacks and safety's are under Robb Smith and Clay Jennings. they played better than our pass defense ranking indicated this past season.
any bad name our secondary got was mostly due to our linebacker depth sucking. teams would tear us apart with routes that our linebackers were supposed to cover.

Our secondary would benefit most from a pass rush. There is definite room for improvement on the backend however a lot of those pass plays were due to qbs sitting back for as long as they wanted and then being able to set their feet and throw a dart.

when you say you have 8 starters on the DL and you are last in the SEC in sacks lol, that's your problem
I don't like the DL coach at all. he walked into a gold mine last year with Philon and Flowers on the same D line
