PJ Fleck has to be given more consideration than before. Especially if his team remains unbeaten. Would love to have him if not Coach O.

Why the down vote? Just pointing out that he should get more consideration that he has been getting. If we get Herman, no problem. If we have to settle for someone like Fedora and not even consider Fleck, it would be sad.

I think WMU would lose to Navy. That SMU game was a bad loss

yes, I'm starting to like him almost as much as Herman. It would be a big jump for him but he has the right qualities. He should at least be given an interview and consideration if we don't go with CEO.

I'm just guessing, but I'm sure that's it. Btw, I didn't down vote it, though i can see the reasoning behind it.

There are good high school teams that could compete in the Mac. What Fleck is doing is great but the competition is lousy and not an indicator of how he would do literally anywhere else in the country.

The reason I said if not Coach O was to not down play what he is accomplishing. If he goes undefeated he deserves serious consideration if not getting the job. All I am saying is that everyone that comes on here wants the coach that everyone knows or everybody wants. The coach that has been successful more than not. I am simply saying that Fleck will get a Power 5 job sooner or later. I just hope he doesn't turn out like Saban or Meyer and we regret it without even considering the possibilities. LSU deserves the best Coach for now and the future. Every Coach should be considered for the best outcome. Even if it is Fleck.

I disagree. If you can coach you can coach. He has turned a program around and his recruiting is tops in the MAC. He was a position coach in the NFL. I don't think the job is to big for him.

Oh I agree he is a good coach. I'm just saying that expecting him to go from what he is doing now to competing in the sec is a huge jump both in competition and exposure. He needs to prove himself somewhere besides the Mac.

Fisher was a HC somewhere before he went to Florida St.? Think not. If anything he has more experience than Fisher had and he did just fine. Herman is coaching at Houston. Is that enough experience to jump straight to SEC?

Did Fleck's team beat Florida State or Oklahoma in the last 12 months?

I'll hang up and listen...

Have you seen PJ Fleck's 1 win first season?

Herman has beaten multiple ranked teams with inferior talent

Also PJ Fleck has had the best recruiting class in his division 4 straight seasons and yet he's dropped multiple division games every year except this year

Herman has done more against better D and shown what he can do with elite talent at OSU

Look at the ranked teams he's beaten last season and this

Herman has beaten not jsut Power 5 teams, but 3 good power 5 teams in OU and FSU

Fleck beat Illinois and Northwestern.

He is doing well at WMU but they aren't exactly playing on the same level as even AAC team.

It's unbelievable how much attention is paid to these flash in the pan coaches that have proven nothing more than being competitive at the top of a mid major conference.

I'm not saying these guys aren't potentially the real thing, but my key word in this statement is 'POTENTIALLY'.

Again I am not saying that Fleck should get the job before Herman. What I am saying is that Herman has two loses and Fleck is having a great season but is not even getting consideration. Yes Herman has beaten Fla. St. and Oklahoma in 12 months but what Fleck has done is nothing short of fantastic. Western Michigan has never been where they are now. It's because of Fleck. Houston has had success.

Herman lost to Navy, came 1 yard away from losing to Tulsa, and now smoked by bad SMU team. No way Houston should be ranked in top 25. That aside, y'all think players have quit on Herman and staff?

Maybe we should check out some FCS school coaches or local HS coaches. We have some good coaches up here in Shreveport and West Monroe.

I'm being sarcastic, but Doug Pederson the Philidelphia Eagles coach used to coach Calvary.
