relatively speaking, he's an infant as a HC. Wouldn't LSU be better off with someone who isn't cutting his HC teeth in major conference football?

I wouldn't be against Herman, but Fisher/Petrino has more experience.

Meyer had 1 year with Utah. Was it enough to coach UF to a natty?

I've posted it like 4 ti es already.

If you are looking at Herman at least bring in all the young guns.

Kingsbury, Scott Frost etc etc

Scott Frost doesn't seem to get mentioned, but he was pretty highly sought after when he was oc at Oregon.

Meyer had 2 years at bowling Green and 2 at Utah, but his results at Utah were pretty damn similar to what Herman is doing at Houston.

Petrino has a pretty steep buyout and I don't think he would leave Louisville again.

Herman is a really good coach. Any school that he goes to will win. There might be growing pains early but his upside is tremendous.

Herman is going to be a huge bust for someone.

I don't think it matters. I think Jimbo is the guy that LSU wants and will get. I want Herman, but I just don't see it. I just don't think he even gets offered the position.

It meets Alleva's one criteria for a head coach. Actual head coaching experience.

Yes, because he has shown he can take it to Alabama with a 3rd string qb.. and he has shown time and time again he can beat superior teams with lesser talent.. Imagine him with equal or greater talent.
