I thought he was coming back to Baton Rouge because his family loved it here so much? Damn, I'm confused.

if he didn't jump last time, doubt he does now.

Saban is either retiring in T Town or giving the NFL one more shot.

He didn't take a $100 million offer and $15 million bonus a couple years ago. Why would he do it now?

Here is a better link that proves its all BS:

LINK

quote:

Two sources close to the situation told HornsDigest.com UT president Greg Fenves and interim athletic director Mike Perrin are unequivocal in their support of Charlie Strong coming back in 2016 - even if Texas loses its final two games against Texas Tech and Baylor - because they believe in Strong and feel he didn't receive the support he needed during his first 20 months at Texas.

I cannot fathom why any coach would go there if they fired the previous coach after year two.

Geez.

Chip Brown is the most recognized and connected writer for Texas sports period, and he has a direct source that says both the president of the school and the AD want him back next year.

And somehow in your head that is on the same level as some BS sports talking head making up crap to get ratings and retweets. That kind of false equivalency is why the world sucks nowadays.

He turned them down once he won't turn them down twice! Book it! Hell they will rename Austin after him if that is what it will take.

All the guy wants is to coach at a school and not have Lane Kiffin doing his daughter. Is that too much to ask?

Seriously though, I'd much rather coach in a place like Tuscaloosa where terrible fans are good people than in Austin where good fans are terrible people.

What you have to tell yourself is that we all know Saban loves Austin and wants to retire there. Do you have any idea what Texas will throw at him now that Strong has pretty much been a huge flop? Forget what they so called threw at him before you can double that!!

They are using chip brown as a chess piece to appear that their commitment to strong is strong in case their saban plan falls through.

This is where I'm at - the one thing they balked at was firing the AD. If they're going to do that anyway, now, and give him input on the next hire - he might rethink it.

Yes he will. It is just my opinion but I think his time is getting short at Bama. I mean what else does he have to prove over there? Sure he is what 62, but he has fire left in his belly and we all know he loves Austin, TX.

He could go, sure. But the reason he didn't go is still there as demonstrated by the issues Tejas is having now. Seems legit.
