He should publically appologize and he should have done it weeks ago. Better lat e than never I guess. I guess they were waiting to make sure it wasn't true.

He was going by a source he felt confident in and just stated what he believed to be true!!! EVERY sports guy would do the same thing!! The problem here is that all the LSU fans want him to kiss LSU'S arse EVERY year!! And if he doesn't you people think he is s jerk!! Just like Holtz!! If he was pumpin LSU ALL YEAR you would think he was great!!!SORRY BUT IT IS TRUE!!!

True enough PJ, but he could have been an upright guy and admitted his mistake and appologized earlier. I like the guy in general, but lost a little respect for him.

I emailed them last night wondering if they were going to apologize publicly.

Some of ESPN' s commentators/analysts have recently bashed Les Miles. They publicly challenged his honesty and integrity, calling him a liar when he claimed he was not leaving to take the coaching position at the University of Michigan. Now that Rich Rodriguez has accepted that position, will ESPN' s commentators/analyst be as quick with their apologies to coach Miles. Hopefully, ESPN is big enough to admit when it has made a mistake.

No, He is right on. I am not so sure that a sportscaster should be held to the same journalistic integrity as a news reporter.

After all an incorrect sports report does/should not equate to a loss of sleep. If in fact it does, priorities may be out of whack.

A simple correction is all that is needed.

Those that called Miles a liar, well, they are no different from the girls on the View, just trying to keep viewers tuned in, just opinions, nothing more.

i don't care what he does, he didn't hurt me, we won even with that distraction, which most teams don't do, i really don't care.

He would have been as quiet as a church mouse if it would have been Tressel and Ohio State. Buckeye fans would have filled the airwaves of his Columbs radio show with every name in the book.

So are you saying Barry Bonds is being accused of telling his "opinion" to a federal jury? And he's about to go to jail for telling his "opinion"?

I don't buy it...you don't call someone a liar publicly when they told the truth.
