Take a second to really think through what's going on. 3 weeks ago Riley was publicly making fun of the LSU rumors. You think he does that if he's leaving OU? Of course not.

Prominent national media types like Feldman were saying for weeks Riley wasn't going to LSU. Riley was his source and he has sources at LSU outside of orgeron. Ryan Rusillo also has sources among boosters and never thought Riley to LSU was a thing.

I dont doubt that we showed interest butthis board blew up some rumors. What some national guys have said is that woody took a real hard swing at Jimbo but he's likely staying at Tamu. Other sites like Florida's 247 has also said LSU has no interest in Napier.

Woody knew last year when the issues with Orgeron started showing up we may need a new coach. He's been on this for awhile. I think we are in better hands than yall think.

And for what it's worth, OUs AD is widely considered to be among the best. Riley wouldn't need to flirt with other teams to get concessions from him. This is all just BS.

Makes sense. Won’t play well here because, well, it makes sense.

Don’t bring actual factual analysis and reason to this coaching search…

…remember, we are LSU fans

Personally, I think Woodward took an initial stab at Riley and then moved on. Aranda makes the most sense and Baylor starting an extension for him could be a reaction and an attempt to get him to stay. He's said some things about how he loves Baylor and that's where he wants to be, but his denials have been much more conservative than Riley's were last night. I think it's been Aranda for weeks and allowing the Riley rumors to continue to grow were a good way to pull attention off of the actual hire.

Dellinger reported the Aranda extension as "he made a commitment to remain at the school." Aranda seems like too much of a boy scout to not stick to his word.
