I know he will never leave John Curtis but I'm curious if anyone knows if he has ever been seriously pursued.

Dad played for JT from 83-85. He would never go anywhere where he doesn't have full control, I by that I mean he owns the damn school lol.

Easier for him to recruit at JC than in college.

Follow up question on Coach Curtis. If he coached at a public high school, would he have had any success?

Yes, he's clearly a very good coach and motivator.

Sure he would. But nothing and I mean nothing even resembling the type of success at Curtis

Yes. After the 1985 season. Cajuns hired Nelson Stokley instead.

JT would have incredible success at a Public School. Think West Monroe, but down south.

Speaking of... a fair comparison, Coach Shows from WM used to get calls from Northwestern St. and a few others (NLU/ULM I believe), but he, too, was satisfied making BANK as a head coach/AD, and crushing souls on Fridays.

Given time top implement his system, no doubt.

The level off discipline in the veer makes them champions, Talent makes them multi year champions.

He loves being the big fish in the little pond. Prob would be a good coach if he moved up, but failure would kill his ego

What gives JC championships is depth when playing public schools he would own the 2nd half 97&98 against Eunice for example
