On his way out the door he told Les that Cameron was going to get him fired. He came pretty close on that prediction.

Possibly.

That doesn't excuse much of stud's massive failures here.

Doesn't help when the head man calls Monroe, "Shreveport."

his recruitment of robinson alone was a fire-able offense

It doesn't help when an assistant is supposed to be recruiting but he's playing poker at the casino.

Ask Ben Wilkerson what he thinks of stud, ask many of his former players, look at his track record of developing guys here. I get yall liked the man, but he was not a good OL coach, it's not just a rant narrative.

That's hilarious. He's basically the only coach Miles has fired on the spot at LSU. He saw Mettenberger dragging his leg around in the Arkansas game and finally saw what all the fans saw for years...he's useless. Got rid of his arse without even getting him a job somewhere else.

And yet he is now on a staff that is one year removed from being the college football national champion

Doesn't prove much of anything. Anyone with eyes could tell Stud was a failure here. Bad o-lines consistently. Bad recruiter. Bad OC. Guy should've been fired when he was demoted from being OC. Les gave him all the chances in the world and got tired of it.

Coaches is like a giant circle jerk. If you're in the circle you can count on your buddies keeping you employed regardless how bad you are. That's why a lot of coaches are too stubborn to change things and ultimately their buddies take them down with them.

Did he not coach and help put them in the L?

My side doesn't have any connects to players, so I don't know. I know Hitt wasn't a big fan. You got those connects, so I'll take your word.

But I don't buy he was terrible. That's not how other coaches viewed him, well one did. But now he's been at two top 7-8 programs in the past four years. Impressive. Must be doing something right.

I am not succeeding in finding a pic of him in his t-shirt in the booth at the 2012 BCSCCG.
