Agree. Also Aranda's career path to a HC is better under O than Herman at UT so I think he's with O. Same can be said for LK if O brings him in. If O fails we have younger options with two guys who own their side of the ball.

Keeping O maintains recruiting consistency.

Hopefully if they can just keep Aranda.

and if we don't? still like hiring O then?

if in fact we have "retained" O, i'm pissed... we had a fricking 2 month head start on this shite only to finish DEAD frickING LAST in this race with Florida St. and Texas... out of those 3, FSU keep Jimbo, Texas gets Herman, and we get O...

and people around here need to get over their emotional attachment to coaches... happened last year with Miles, and this year with O... it's one of the major things holding this program back... had we had the nuts last year, maybe we'd have Jimbo right now, and wouldn't have to be looking down the barrel of a shotgun...

Could be worse. I think the guy did a much better job than Miles.

Some think we could have done better than just settle for better than what Miles had become.

Saban is not going anywhere. LSU could be a quicker path to HC if O isn't successful.

at this point, i'd gladly take a hit in recruiting and be stuck with some 2 and 3 star guys, vs. the 5 stars flameouts we seem to get...

we've had years of great recruiting, and none of it has put us in the conversation for a national championship in quite a while now... and yes, i understand that was with Miles, but I really don't see how this is going to be any different...

Regardless of how you feel about the decision, what good does it do to sit here and bitch about the decision. It is only detrimental. As the OP says, support the new coach and see what comes of it. If you can't do that then GTFO
