Better yet, will he show up like Costanza to Maryland for a couple weeks not even having been hired yet.

You're not one of those clowns that thought the Michigan jet in B R was just a coincidence are you?

Dude, listen the frick up...CROWTON IS GONE! There is absolutely NO WAY these are just "rumors" and Miles is saying "other great opportunities" when referring to GC.

Are you seriously that unable to make the obvious assumption.

Class organizations do not accidently leak this info. It is out there now trying ot keep it down so another school will be dumb enough to take him.

No, i certainly think he's gone.

I'm just relaying info that has not been posted here.

FWIW I think he's gone tomorrow.

Crowton won't be fired. He'll either resign or find another job, more than likely the latter.

For what it's worth, the text message could have easily been part of a larger conversation about Gary announcing his decision to move on during the meeting on Thursday.

So of course there's a need for him to communicate to his boss that he'll be able to attend in order to cover any appearances that he's leaving under less than polite circumstances.

Rumors of his retirement had been around for awhile. This is what a retirement looks like. Announcing a departure of another kind can still be done in this manner too. It's the professional way to do it.

This is probably very close to what happened. You know for sure it wasn't just a one-off text saying he would be there. They were probably trying to figure out when to announce it and Gary said he would do it/be there thursday.

A direct quote from Gary Crowton about being fired: “No, I’ve been on a plane. Heading back to Baton Rouge right now. Have not been fired.”

They'll just stop paying him, and move his desk to the basement. Soon or later it will work it self out.

If they take his stapler, I hope they increase the insurance on Tiger Stadium.
