There is a very strong belief among those in the know that rich rod is heading there. He knows the area and that is where he and his family are from.

I'd love to see VT hire Smart. They'd be looking for another coach in 4 years.

Rich Rod would be an awesome hire for VT IMO. It seems like the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area always has awesome DT QBs that would be perfect for his system

Good Lord can you imagine the renewed hatred between Va Tech and WVA if Va Tech were to hire Rich Rod. It would be glorious. The hills would be on fire.

It will not be Bud Foster, time has moved on from that.
All the rumors you keep hearing is RR, but Babcock has always been close hold with his moves (See Buzz Williams), so thus why I have a hard time believing RR at VT.
But then again, the guy who broke the story was the AZ Cardinals beat reporter.
