why shouldn't Florida just grab Freeze?

To me Freeze is just a slightly better version of Houston Nutt.

Given that, why shouldn't Florida just grab Freeze?

Because Freeze isn't leaving Ole Miss until he's fired or retires.

He's from north Mississippi, was born in Oxford. Has lived his entire life in north Mississippi, grew up an Ole Miss fan and has constantly said his dream job was Ole Miss. It wouldn't make sense for him to leave when his entire family is in Mississippi.

For the love of god, will someone please explain why mcelwain would be such a good hire? I'm appalled that so many people think this is the best Florida can do.

He did a great job up here. I was skeptical that he'd fit in, but CO is so cool.

Oh, and there are dispensaries all over Fort Collins. Think that helps recruiting?

He has Colorado State at 10-2 and they have one of the best offenses in the nation. Something Florida has lacked the last 4 years. Florida has only ever been successful with offensive minded head coaches. McElwain would do well there.

How does the legal pot in CO thing work with players? Guessing if it's NcAA banned then they can't use it either?

Anyone over 21 can legally purchase cannabis. Good, good, cannabis, btw, .

It's just like a job. You can buy it and smoke it, but they can test for it and penalize you for it. Legalization didn't change any of that for the NCAA.

What makes McElwain a better candidate than Doc Holliday-- both won titles as assistants, both turned around programs, both have good offenses, the difference is that Holliday won his title at Florida, has been better as a HC, and has better offenses in addition to being a South Florida recruiting guru-- if anything Doc Holliday is a better version of Jim McElwain.

Anything Marshall has done this year should probably come with an asterisk since their schedule is beyond pathetic.
