Hiring this dude is terrifying.

I just don't think this kind of Big 12 philosophy would work in the SEC when teams can grind out long drives completely demoralizing your defense.

Then your O goes 3 and out and you're screwed.

If we want to be the new Texas A&M hire Fedora. They'll run up the score on the shite teams and lose against smart coaches who control the TOP and can slow down a spread.

And I doubt Aranda sticks around for this. I'd almost rather O at this point than Fedora.

Guys like him are a dime a dozen. Leach, Gundy, Holgerson, Sumlin, Kingsbury, and on and on.

How many defensive gurus are there? Not many.

If you whif on Jimbo, promote Aranda.

Tell me why you would give the LSU HC job to someone who has never been a HC on any level. Running a great defense is not the same as running the entire program.

First off, we're not hiring Fedora so simmer down.

Secondly,

Still idiotic.

You don't need to worry about it as Fedora is staying at UNC. Also, FSU seems sure Jimbo is not going anywhere either. It's fun when every fan base seems so sure they're right. Somebody is going to be very disappointed. If it's UNC fans that are disappointed then the majority of LSU fans will be too as it seems no one here wants Fedora as HC.

YPP is much more important than TOP

I think Aranda is smart enough to figure out how to run an entire program.

Step 1: Hire a great OC of which there are many.
Step 2: Keep the great recruiters on staff.
Step 3: Out scheme everyone and win

I mean why is it such a stretch to think that Aranda is incapable of doing this but so many thought O could run a program???

i'm with you, broh. what worries me is fedora is one of the worst hires, imo, and that's who we could end up with.

Oregon has played in several BCS Bowls and multiple NC games despite having one of the worst time of possession ratios.

It's not that important.

Apparently, Fedora is the primary option if Jimbo rebuffs us.

We have playoffs now, and everyone can run that offense. You need a defense to make the deep run now more than ever.

Yeah and they play in a better version of the big 12 with no one really outside of Stanford and USC play any defense. Every time they went up against a good defensive line they got beat.

In that case, stop thinking! LSU does not need to give OJT to a never-before coach.

And they usually struggle mightily against the first sign of a physical defense or one that has time to prepare.

I thought I read somewhere Fedora and Aranda has the same agent.

Maybe thats why he is #3 behind Fisher -Herman

What boggles my mind is how so many O fans think that his experience running a program into the ground at Ole Miss somehow makes him more qualified than Aranda, who hasn't run a program yet.

So if I'm hiring for any job, would I pick a guy who has proven that he sucks or an up and comer who hasn't proven he can do it but has proven he's the best at the country in his current role?

Outside of Fisher/Herman, the best man for the job is already here...

Tell me why you would give a program to a guy who has 2 years HC experience and hasn't had a recruiting class go full circle to know exactly how well he actually recruits?

yeah, this is concerning to me as well. I don't think people understand the impact this type of offense puts on the defense..... The best DC's can look avg at best with this type of offense.
