A program that size can't be a dream job for any big time coach.

And how much for assistants?

No conference

It doesn't matter what UH does, they're still UH.

To me, i read that as an advertisement to the next coach, not as a realistic attempt to keep herman.

Where's does $5 mil come from? If he's making 2.8 right now, a 7 digit raise would just mean at least another mil

He's getting the money in any event. It's all about the program at this point. Due respect, UH just doesn't rate.

Houston could offer him 20 million and he wouldn't stay.

There's only so far you can go at Houston.

Houston would be better of getting better facilities and hiring Kiffen.

I agree completely. UH is not Herman's destination job.

I guess I am just in shock that UH would pay that much.

Which maybe their AD is just throwing that out there because he knows TH won't accept and then he can tell the Boosters he tried.

Not saying UH is poor, but $5mil a year and up is still a shitload, even as more coaches pass that threshold.

Would be 4.8, at least. 7 figures is 10 mil minimum. So if he's making $14/5 add 10 to that you get $24/5 or right at $5 per (4.8).

That's assuming it's only ten million.

I'm a dumbass. I won't even edit this post. I will take it like a man.

I still think you're missing the concept of "7 figures".
