So...to all the Mike Leach haters:

Mike Leach is too old, but Briles is 5 years older and that's dandy?

Mike Leach can't win in the SEC, but his disciple can?

Y'all are so logically inconsistent. Just say it:

Briles is a Texan and a Baylor Bear. He is not coming to humid armpit of the world Baton Rouge. Sorry, just telling like it is.

What's wrong with that? Sometimes the students are better than the teacher. Take, for instance, Mike Leach. Guess who his mentor was. Hal Mumme. Who had the better career?

Saban's mentor was Don James. Who do you think had the better career?

And that crap they run over here now doesn't? Do y'all actually watch Baylor? Their man purpose is to Spread their WR's literally sideline to sideline to create individual match ups inside in order to power run with big lineman and a huge H-back. Most of the big passes come off of play action were the secondary is left on and island against speedy WRs

Huh? This is the first I've heard of this. Do you have a link? If not, that's a pretty vicious rumor you're starting.

if you want a coach that Aggy will beat 75% of the time, Briles is your man.

If any of you have time to kill, take a look at the Coach's film of Baylor O vs. Mich st. D.

Not a rumor. Google it. Briles def stud was charged with raping a BU soccer player in 2014. He was suspended from the team for the 2014 season pending outcome of trial, but still on scholarship. DC Phil Bennett said in booster meeting in May '15 that he expected him back for this season. Waco jury convicted him a month later. Soccer player forced off team and left school without help. It was hushed up, Police Dept and Waco paper said not a word for a year. Victim hired big time Title IX lawyer, school hired outside firm to investigate internally to see what f*** happened.

I believe in due process. Plus, I would think that Baylor would be hypersensitive to issues such as these after the whole Dave Bliss fiasco.

If not, damn. That school is reckless.

I'd be suprised if it were Briles.

I'm not sold that it's going to be Fisher.

Nothing you mentioned added any real credibility to Briles being the guy.

There was due process. The player was convicted. That is the only reason he is not on the field now. The Athletic Dept., Police, Newspaper, and Court System buried it until it came to trial. They fully intended to start the guy this Fall had he been found not guilty, according to Phil Bennett. And they hustled the victim out of Waco.

And one other thing, the player had previously been kicked off Boise State's team for beating up his girlfriend. Chris Peterson indicated he informed Briles of the guy's background. Briles said he didn't. Who you gonna believe?

OU was the first team Baylor played with a pulse and look what happened.

OU was pushed around with that same offense a year ago. Not saying I'd want Briles, but this is a horrible argument.

Here's the problem and I hope you understand the jeopardy the school is currently in. They allowed a student athlete under indictment for rape to remain at that school and on scholarship for a year while he was waiting for his trial. You can't get away with that shite anymore and the financial penalty to the school, maybe some AD people and maybe even Briles himself will ultimately be significant.
