I understand Les has done a great job here but he has also been aided by the facilities, the budget to hire assistant coaches, and the recruiting base of the Baton Rouge New Orleans area. Also he was handed a great program hand crafted by, lets face it, once in a lifetime half of fame coach.

Considering the offense he is adamant on running, his excellent clock management and gameday coaching, I think guys like jermey hill, odel beckam jr, jarvis landry, spenser ware etc used to bail him out more than not. John Chavis sure did bail him out time and time again.

Without those players and the geographical recruiting base, I am curious to see how well he does.

If we hire Rich Rodriguez or Brady Hoke at LSU we would not miss a beat. Michigan would not either.

At LSU, our fast athletes could hold up against the Urban Meyer spread machine. Try doing that at Michigan, Les. Urban Meyer will chew you up.

One of the most idiotic things I have read on here in quite some time. That's an impressive accomplishment

I'll take Rich Rod but I don't want any part of Brady Hoke.

You're going to get pounded, but I truly believe Les is a slightly better version of Hoke, mainly because of Louisiana talent and experience.

Lovable buffoon, can't speak English.
Solid recruiter.
Great defensive coordinator.
Awfully conservative game plan/suspect game manager.
Failure to develop QBs.

It's the same guy in a lot of ways.

Les Miles coaching does not win us football games, his talent and damn good recruiting wins our football games, as well as his defense and his coordinators. With that being said if Rich Rod coached LSU this past season we would be in the top 4 easily.

Why wouldnt they? He was doing the turn around thing at Okie St. He replaced a legend at LSU challenge accepted and handled. Program didnt miss a beat. I dont understand why people continue to question his performance at the job. He coached the Dallas Cowboys and Skip Bertman hired him. Some of u are absolutely clueless.

Anyone that doesnt think Miles will do better than Hoke and Rich Rod, go to Vegas and give your money away. He will do a great job at Michigan. What in his resume would indicate otherwise?

Urban Meyer gonna chew up Les Miles? Ultimate insult and lets everyone know u are clueless.

Who got chewed up and spit out in the SEC? What was it..... a serious career ending illness befell on Meyer. He had to quit his coaching career. I t was so bad he had to quit on his contract and his players and no more 5 million a year? My word poor fella what could it possibly be? brain cancer?
Funny how it came about when Nick Saban(in the west i may add) came into town and Meyer's Heisman QB and total team leader was leaving for the NFL.

Also the timing of when it went away..... the exact same day easy arse Ohio St offered? Miles accepted the challenge on the field and the recruiting trail, no quitting there.
I'll take Les'chest.
