He is not my first choice for head coach however I'm not saying it's not a possibility but who is to say we can't hire him as an OC?

If we do promote CEO to full time I think kiffin would love the chance to whip Nicky boys arse as OC.

Nope. He will suffer Saban's wrath and take a HC offer.

Kiffin at OC would be legit

Side note: Can you name a really good QB Kiffin has coached...??? Seems like he has great offenses without great QBs...

If O is retained I'd be ok with keeping the exact staff we have now.

I think Kiffin heads straight to BR no question if Ed O is retained and we keep kicking butt this year. O was extremely loyal to him over the years....time for Kiffin to return the favor

There's no way he makes a lateral move from bama to LSU.

If Kiiffin doesn't go to Fresno, I think O could convince him to come here.

Well, LSU might pay more, he can work with a friend instead of an a-hole, and if he succeeds its even more ammo for bigger HC job

Next move for him will be for a HC gig. His stock will never be higher than it is now. Why would he risk that coming to work for Orgeron? Makes no sense for him.

100% Kiffin takes the OC if offered.

I think he hates saban and would love a shot to kick his arse.

I don't see kiffin as a long term hire but think it's a real possibility for maybe the next 2 years.

Maybe because LSU is bad arse and he could come and work with one of his best friends, along with the best DC in the country??

It's just very rare for a to move laterally. It's actually a demotion when you compare the state of Bama football vs lsu.

It's not gonna happen guys.

He will be a HC next....somewhere

I still don't understand this idea. I don't see any REAL reason for him to make the move to LSU. On a NC caliber team already? Check. Makes over a million at current job? Check. Could get redemption by taking a HC position at another school? Check. Already has a successful offense implemented at top tier football school? Check.

Besides saying he doesn't like Saban, tell me what his actual incentive is to come to LSU?

He has the best OC job there is right now. With that D he doesn't have to do much to look good.

Think this through and you'll conclude that it makes no sense for him to leave his current situation for anything less than a HC job.

Him and orgeron are close if you have ever had to make a tough career move you know people make a difference not so much money however if we have O as Hc then I think we pay him somewhere around 3 mil which gives us some extra cash to throw at lane maybe 1.5-1.7 range

So if everyone on this thread worked for a total overbearing control freak a-hole that literally screamed at you in public, then you were offered the same job at a different company doing the same thing with same or better pay and benefits and could work for a friend, you bunch of dumbasses would say 'no thanks'....???? Yea right

I mean maybe Saban and Kiffin are best buds off camera, who knows. But if I were offered an equal or better paying job doing the exact same thing minus a massive prick boss.....sign me up

Depends on if i am working for the best company in the country and even though my boss is an a-hole if he can improve me as an employee and future ceo i would shut up and listen until i got a job as ceo. Especially if that could happen this year.
